Santa Cristina de Lavadores Church

  • BUILT: the old building dates from 1201. It was rebuilt in the late 19th century
  • ADDRESS: C/ Santa Cristina s/n

This church was originally built in a Romanic style but has since lost many of its features. It was rebuilt over the original building in the late 19th century.

The main entrance is through a triple semi-circular arch. At the portico there is a cross inserted in the wall with a base in two steps, a circular shaft, the capital and an image of the crucified Christ. At the top of the façade there is an image of Saint Christina framed by a niche. Inside the church, the statue of a lion that was part of a medieval tomb is still conserved.
