A RIOUXA PARK

This park is located at Avenida de Galicia in the area of Teis. It was created in 1990 and 1991 and designed by the Catalonian architect Ricardo Bofill. It has an area of almost 60 hectares. The most interesting features are the concrete pergolas which are more than 50m in length. They are highly polished and specially treated. There are a wide variety of tree species such as Indian chestnut, local oak, birch, and pine.

CAMILO JOSÉ CELA PARK

This park is located on the streets Torrecedeira and Pi y Margall and has an area of 7500 metres squared. There is a sheltered walk which is used for outdoor exhibitions. Most of the park is a garden with more than 50 different types of trees. There are two points where one can admire the views, two children’s playgrounds, an ornamental fountain, a fountain with a cascade, a pond and sports grounds. The whole park is well lit with cast iron lamps.

ELDUAYEN GARDENS

This is part of the Port Authority Area. The gardens were designed in English style but with the new urban planning project, "Open Vigo to the Sea", the original design was modified. A classical statue of Elduayen by the sculptor Agustín Querol dating from the end of the 19th century stands in the park.
