The City Council of Vigo, through the municipal services of attention to women, identifies the problems, needs and daily demands of women in order to assert their rights in the professional, social and family environments.
Once detected and identified those needs, the Department of Gender Equality provides the necessary tools and resources to promote women's self-confidence to ask for an equal coexistence. On this basis, several programs are being developed to educate the new generations on values that ensure equal opportunities.
The Office for Gender Equality, located in the Town Hall of Vigo, manages the Council schedules, supervises the equality policies and promotes the participation of women in all areas by promoting cooperativism.
