The Municipal Cleaning Service, provided by the Department of Town Planning and Environment, includes several activities related with urban cleaning and waste collection full management.

Specific services performed by municipal employees:

• Inspection, coordination and monitoring of the services provided by the operating companies.
• Monitoring the dumping site of Zondal, to prevent illegal waste deposition.
• Monitoring the functioning of the Biogás flares system, so that the gas generated in the landfill is steadily controlled.
• Urban waste control in the Waste Recycling Centre of Guixar to prevent indiscriminate waste dumping.
• Cleaning of roads, ditches and beaches. The municipal workers, organized into brigades and assisted by various manual and mechanical cleaning means (picker vehicles, tractors, brush cutters ,...), perform these tasks throughout the year, according to current needs.
