This section is intended to inform parents and children aged between 0-12 years about activities, educational institutions, toy libraries, and childcare services available in Vigo.

Nursery Schools (age 0-3 years): There are about 50 Nursery schools in Vigo -some of them offering places for children up to 6 years prior to their entry into Infant schools- which can be divided into the following types:

• Municipal Nursery schools.
• Nursery schools under supervision of the Regional Government (Xunta de Galicia)
• Private Nursery schools subsidized by the Xunta de Galicia.
• Nursery schools participants in the municipal Children's Grant Program.
• Other independent Nursery schools.

Infant and Primary Schools (age 3-12 years): information about more than 40 state-run schools, offering places for children aged 3 to 16 in general, and Special Schools for Special Educational Needs (SEN):

• Infant schools fully funded by the Department for Education of the Xunta de Galicia (age 3 to 6 years).
• Infant and Primary schools (age 3 to 12 years).
• Primary schools (age 6 to 12 years)
• Comprehensive schools (age 3 to 16 years)
• Special schools (age 3 to 21 years)

Toy libraries: leisure centers offering a great variety of amusing educational toys and games for children of all ages to learn while playing. Our project is under supervision of a professional team, working to boost towards children's creative thinking and the development of their capacities.
